JOHN NUNN

John is the founder and principal manager of Apartment Ventures and is responsible for acquisitions, investor relations and the operations of the Company. John formerly served as the Executive Vice President of Asset Management for BRE Properties, Inc. a publicly traded NYSE real estate investment trust from 1996 to 2001. In this role, he was responsible for the asset management organization, acquisition underwriting and due diligence for over 28,000 apartment units; a total of two and one half billion dollars in value. Prior to joining BRE Properties, John served as Vice President–Asset Manager for Real Estate Investment Trust of California (RCT)–NYSE, specializing in acquisition and ownership of apartments and commercial real estate throughout the western US. John holds the designation of Certified Property Manager from the Institute of Real Estate Management and is an honors graduate of California State University Long Beach.
LEROY (LEE) CARLSON

LeRoy (Lee) is the co-founder of Apartment Ventures, primarily focusing on capital raising and tax strategies. Lee formerly served as the Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Board member of BRE Properties, Inc., from 2000–2002 and as Chief Financial Officer of the firm from 1996-2000. Prior to joining BRE, Lee served as Vice President Chief Financial officer of Real Estate Investment Trust of California. Lee is a CPA and a graduate of the University of Southern California. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Terreno Realty Corp, a publicly traded real estate investment trust and acts as their Audit Committee Chairman.
KARI WILFONG

Kari is responsible for the day-to-day operations and financial performance of Apartment Ventures, our investment arm of the firm, Sutter Investment Advisors, our asset management division and Fusion Property Management, our property management group. Kari has a deep transaction background, having structured complex mergers & acquisitions and debt facilities to achieve investor objectives. She began personally investing in Apartment Ventures in 2012, and officially joined the firm in early 2019 after a long tenure at CO-OP Financial Services, where she served as the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for 13 years. Kari is a CPA, received her EMBA from Claremont Graduate University, Drucker School of Business, and her undergraduate BA in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount. She currently serves on the Lusk Center for Real Estate Board at USC and has been on the board of several for and not-for profit organizations.
John Flanagan

John is responsible for the day to day property operations of Fusion Property Management Company. John joined the firm in 2010. Prior to Fusion, John work with Coldwell Banker Commercial George Realty. Additionally, John spent 6 years in hotel and casino operations with Starwood Hotels and MGM Resorts International. John received his BS in Hotel Administration from University of Nevada Las Vegas, William F. Harrah College of Hospitality.
Since 1999, Cypress, California-based Fusion Property Management Company has provided comprehensive property management services to owners of multifamily apartment communities in California, Nevada and Arizona. Fusion’s daily focus is on growing revenue, controlling operating expenses, and creating value for our investors and residents. The company manages properties ranging in size from 6-300 units, comprising approximately 3,500 units in markets ranging from Northern to Southern California, and Nevada to Arizona.
